Things to do on Virgin Gorda

  • Read a book in the pool while sipping on a cool drink
  • Hire a cook-in chef and enjoy the local cuisine
  • Watch the guys play dominoes at the Poor Man’s bar at The Baths
  • Watch the sailboats go by from the deck at Adagio
  • Rent a jeep and just drive along the main road – stop every once and awhile and take a picture
  • Take a hike up Mt. Gorda from the trail entrance
  • Dance Friday night away at Chez Bamboo
  • Visit The Fat Virgin Café at Biras Creek
  • Rent a boat and tour the Sir Francis Drake Channel
  • Walk on the beach at Mahoe Bay
  • Go to the Rendezvous Bar at Yacht Harbour watch sunset with a beer
  • Build a sand castle
  • Collect shells at Soldiers Bay or Handsome Bay
  • Visit the Copper Mine ruins
  • Eat ribs at Hog Heaven on the north side of the mountain - take in the view
  • Take in Sunday Brunch at the Mineshaft Restaurant and listen to the fungi band
  • Get to the Baths and walk through the boulders to devil's bay
  • Have a lunch at the Top of the Baths and dive into their pool
  • See the Mocko Jumbies at the Friday night beach BBQ at Leverick Bay
  • Hire a massage therapist and have your massage at the villa
  • Have a “Roti” at Bath and Turtle
  • Go for sweets at the M & S Bakery
  • Watch the boats in Yacht Harbour while having drinks at the Rendezvous bar
  • Book dinner at the Rock Café and stay for the entertainment each night
  • Tour Little Dix Bay and check out the gift shop
  • Shop at the Top of the Baths shops
  • Rent a wind surfer and try your skills in the trade winds
  • Take a day sail with Keith on the Spirit of Anegada
  • Have the fried chicken at Little Dixie’s
  • Go for ice-cream cones at Yacht Harbour
  • Take the water taxi to Saba Rock restaurant or to Fat Virgin at BIRAS
  • Jog to Spanish Town and back - do it early in the morning
  • Play a game of tennis on the court at Mahoe Bay
  • Drive the road up Mount Gorda and stare out to sea to Africa
  • Go up the west road to Hog Heaven and check out Richard Branson's islands
  • Drive the west road around Mount Gorda and wonder at the view of Anegada 
  • Take a day sail to Anegada and have the lobster at the Big Bamboo or Cow Wreck, Neptune's Treasure, Anegada Reef Hotel or Capt'n's
  • Take the pool floaties to the beach and lounge around in the water
  • Snorkel from the beach at Mahoe Bay, Mountain Trunk, Little Trunk or Spring Bay
  • Take Dive BVI’s scuba course and get your certification
  • Take a day sail to the Willie T floating restaurant at Norman Island
  • Have a coffee and Danish outside Buck’s Market
  • Visit Leverick Bay and check out the shops
  • Have at least one meal at one of the local restaurants
  • Take the ferry to Road Town when the cruise ships are not in town
  • Explore the Mahoe Bay flora and fauna by touring the roads within Mahoe Bay
  • Catch a gecko – and let him go
  • Catch a hermit crab and feed it some lettuce (watch that you don't get your thumb caught)
  • Watch a local basketball game under the lights
  • Have a meal at Coco Maya and spend the evening on the beach
  • Visit the Mineshaft Restaurant on Tuesdays for all you can eat Rib Nite
  • Rent a kayak and paddle up and down the west side of the island or the North Sound
  • Snorkel at the Baths on a calm day
  • Watch the sailors try to land their dinghy’s at the Baths on a rough day
  • Have a hamburger and red stripe at the Poor Man’s Bar at the Baths
  • Plug in your I-Pod to the stereo and play island music
  • Browse the local grocery stores and see what’s for dinner
  • Take a day sail to Jost Van Dyke and visit the Soggy Dollar Bar
  • Take in a Full Moon Party at Bomba’s shack at Cane Garden Bay (book a nite at Maria’s hotel for the trip back the next day)
  • Mix up some wild drinks at the bar and decide you are not leaving the villa that day
  • Go shopping at RTW and come back with the best deals in liquor you ever thought possible
  • Try some Guinness beer
  • BBQ some “Bubba burgers”  and have a few beers to wash them down
  • Suntan
  • Throw the Blackberry in the pool and play fetch
  • Walk along Mahoe Bay to the point where it meets Nail Bay
  • Buy a few good Cuban cigars at Pusser’s at Leverick Bay
  • Sign up for Sailing 101 at BEYC and try your hand at sailing
  • Play a round of mini-putt at the Mineshaft
  • Visit Spring Bay and jump off the rocks into the water
  • Watch the pelicans dive for fish
  • Watch the Frigate birds soar on the wind
  • Walk the beach at Savannah Bay/Pond Bay
  • Snorkel Handsome Bay on a calm day
  • Have a "Roti" at the Fat Virgin as well as a Flying Fish Sandwich and EXCELLENT RIBS!
  • Enjoy Little Dix's "all you can eat" Monday Night Buffet
  • Have a sandwich and drink at the infamous Mad Dog bar
  • Have lunch (or dinner) at Nail Bay's open-air restaurant and swim up to their bar for a drink, then jump into the Jacuzzi
  • Have a cocktail in one of the many bars in the Settlement on the way to or from Leverick Bay or Gun Creek
  • Enjoy an outstanding, romantic and upscale dinner at the Restaurant at Leverick Bay. No long pants required!
  • Snorkel the caves at Norman Island
  • Contemplate your belly button and take a picture of your toes with a cold Carib
  • Say to yourself “I can’t go back to work”
  • Take your kids and a flashlight down to the beach at night and watch the needle fish come to the light
  • Go for a midnight “skinny dip” in the warm waters of Mahoe Bay
  • Snorkel at Savannah Bay,
  • Celebrate sunset at CocoMaya
  • Collect conch shells at South Sound
  • Drive up to St Ursula's Church across from the Yacht Harbor and appreciate the view to both the Atlantic and the Francis Drake channel, then leave an offering inside
  • Drive north of Nail bay and find an isolated beach.
  • Sip a cocktail, get some munchies and watch the sun set from the bar on Saba Rock
  • Lay back and do simply nothing – also known as Limin’
